The European Economic Association (EEA) has awarded Karen Bernhardt-Walther (York University) and Matthias Lang (LMU Munich) the EEA Award for Innovation in Teaching.
The collaborative initiative, the LMU-York Virtual Journal Club, uses new technologies to create an environment where undergraduates in two universities meet virtually to discuss economics research. Students appreciate the opportunity for productive interaction with faculty and other students and feel the club helps them develop on multiple dimensions.
