Every year, the Student Association of Economics (Wasti e.V.) in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics invites all students to the Nobel Prize Lecture in Economic Sciences at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The event aims at giving insight into the work of the laureates and different economic research fields.
This year, the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2024 was awarded to Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson and James Robinson "for studies of how institutions are formed and affect prosperity"
